TOYOTA Rent a Car Insurance
The following amount will be paid as compensation for an unexpected accident.
Bodily
Injury
Causing another
person to suffer Injury or death
Unlimited per person
(including automobile liability insurance)

Damaging the rental vehicle
Up to the actual value per accident
(a charge of JPY 50,000 will be incurred for exclusion of liability; JPY 100,000 for buses and large size tracks)

*Compensation will be paid for injuries to passengers(including death and residual disability) regardless of the degree of the driver's responsibillity(up to JPY 30,000,000: the amount of damage will be calculated by insurance company based on the insurance clause)
Notes:
  • The amount of damage that is not covered or paid for by compensation shall be covered by the customer.
  • Insurance does not cover any accidents specified by the disclaimers in the insurance agreement.
    insurance may also not cover accidents for which an accident report has not been issued by a police officer
Exclusion of Liability Compensation System
By joining this system ,the exclusion of liability fee mentioned above will be exempted for the applicable accidents.The following fee must be paid to join this system

Note: Buses and large size trucks are JPY 2,160(includes 8% tax)/Up to 24 hours
Damages that Insurance Does Not Cover
The amount of damage that insurance does not cover or that exceeds the insurance limit shall be covered by the customer.
Example of cases in which insurance is not paid
  • The accident was not reported to the police(if there is no accident report).
  • The accident was caused by a driver different from the one who applied as a driver at departure.
  • The accident was caused by a driver without a driver's license.
  • The accident was caused by drunk driving.
  • The accident occurred after the original rental period,and TOYOTA Rent a Car was not notified of a rental exclusion in advance.
  • Other facts that violate the Rental Agreement of TOYOTA Rental & Leasing(for example,in that event of a car theft when the key was left in the car).
Non-Operation Charges(NOC)
In the event of car accident,car theft,car trouble or stain/damage on a car,if the car need to be repaired and/or cleaned,the following fees will be charged as a part of compensation for business during the time of repairing/cleaning.
